Primavera coach Jani Sturm struggled to contain his emotion as he shared his thoughts after watching his side's defeat at the hands of Cesena in the Primavera 2 Super Cup.
"I would like to thank the fans – they have stood by us," he said.
"We didn't give them a present today – we had lots of fans here to support and cheer us on. We tried our best to win, but it wasn't our day. The ball didn't want to go in."
Despite Cesena's deserved win, Sturm underlined that the season as a whole should in no way be dampened by this result.
"We had an extraordinary, almost miraculous year," he said. "It was a dream for me to take the boys to the Dacia Arena – I've given everything to be here and I thank the club for the opportunity."
