Jordan Zemura spoke to Udinese Tonight on Monday about what he wants to achieve this season:

“I need to start scoring goals and providing assists. I demand more and more from myself with each passing day.

Hassane Kamara was and is playing really well, so it was hard to get my chance,” admitted the winger, who has started regularly down the left flank since Gabriele Cioffi returned to the dugout.

“Andrea Sottil had a certain style of play and maybe I didn’t show that I knew how to play the way that he wanted, or maybe it simply didn’t work for me.”

“I enjoy playing aggressively and running up and down the pitch,” admitted the 24-year-old. “The settling-in period in a new country with a new team wasn’t easy. It took me some time from when I arrived.”

The left winger also touched on his own qualities and the change in coach: “Cioffi is different from Sottil as a coach. I feel very close to him. I listen to everything he says. I think he’s helped other players in my situation in the past as well. I have so much respect for him and we have a great relationship.”

Zemura went on to describe Udine as his “second home”.

“Of course, I miss my family, but I’m very happy here. It’s a beautiful and calm city. I want to learn Italian well, but it’s going ‘piano piano’ (slowly). I’m managing it. Learning the language will help me in many areas.”
