Oier Zarraga shared his thoughts after scoring the opening goal and producing a composed all-round display in Udinese's 1-1 friendly draw with Rijeka
“It was a real game against an excellent team Rijeka,” the Basque midfielder began. “We played well today. Now we'll look forward to the next one and try to keep playing like this.
“It was good to get on the score sheet. I like scoring goals as it helps the team. I'm training hard to convince the boss to pick me for the next match.”
Udinese's next Serie A fixture is at home to Lecce on Monday 23 October. Zarraga continued: “It will be a very important game. We haven't won yet and we need wins and points on the board.”
