After the final whistle at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, Alessandro Zanoli and Jurgen Ekkelenkamp were interviewed pitchside by DAZN.
The wing-back set up Nicolo Zaniolo for the opening goal – his third assist for the No.10 this season – and is enjoying playing regular football.
Zanoli: “It's three huge points for us today. We needed to win after going three games without one and we did it at a tough ground like Torino's.
“I'm happy I was able to help Zaniolo score. He's a good lad and he really deserves it. I hope he can back into the Italy set-up, and maybe that's something I can dream about too. I have to keep it up. I know the stats are important so I'm pleased to have got another assist today.
“When you play every match and build up minutes in your legs, you improve your fitness. I'm getting better all the time and I'm happy to be doing that at Udinese.
“We need a touch more consistency to knock out results week in, week out. Sometimes we win but then we lose the next one. We need to keep picking up points. It would be great if we can get another three against Pisa.”
Ekkelenkamp was named Man of the Match for his impressive performance and late goal, which ultimately proved to be the difference as it ended 2-1. It was his second of the season, following his match-winning strike against Napoli in December.
“It's true that when I score, we win. It was a good goal too. I fell down and hurt myself but I got up again and scored so I'm very happy. The goal is for Udinese.
“We have a great team and we must keep believing in ourselves.”
