Nicolo Zaniolo had the following to say after Sunday's defeat to Sassuolo:
"We knew it would be a difficult match as they have some good players. The match turned in those key moments. We could have scored early on, but then they got two and that was quite a blow.
"We were given penalties: the one on me was a penalty but the VAR decided otherwise. In the box if you get to the ball first and then get hit, it's a penalty. I don't know how they assessed it. I felt the touch, but then the VAR made the decision he did. In any case, we should focus on what we can do better. We need to be less passive and more compact.”
