Udinese win 4-0 at Salernitana

Udinese concluded their Serie A campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Salernitana on Sunday night. It was a win that owed much to great finishing from the away side and an excellent performance in goal from Daniele Padelli. 

Gerard Deulofeu gave Udinese an early advantage on 6 minutes. Iyenoma Udogie produced some flamboyant footwork before finding the Spaniard, who fired into the corner from just outside the area.  Ilija Nestorovski then doubled the away side's lead, heading home Nahuel Molina's dinked cross into the area. 

Just before the break, Udogie scored an outstanding solo goal, picking up the ball on the left-hand side before drifting infield and curling beyond Vid Belec in the Salernitana goal. Udinese had a chance to make it four on the stroke of half-time, after Deulofeu was fouled in the box by the opposition goalkeeper. However Roberto Pereyra saw his spot kick saved. 

The Argentinian made up for the miss 12 minutes into the second half, when he beat two defenders at the end of a swift counter before slotting the ball into the net to make it 4-0. It was a lead that proved unassailable for the hosts, who were nonetheless able to celebrate after the final whistle as Cagliari's draw at Venezia confirmed their survival.
