Stats and facts ahead of our next fixture

Preview.jpg
Udinese are Hellas Verona set to face each other in the 39th Nordest derby. In terms of their head-to-head record, both clubs are level-pegging – 12 victories apiece and 14 draws. The last time the two teams played against each other the scores ended 1-1, with Rodrigo Becao scoring an unlucky own goal and Lazar Samardzic netting for us.

Udinese are unbeaten in their last six home games against the Scaligeri and have scored a total of 37 goals against Verona on home turf, an average of 1.9 per game. The visitors have only taken two clean sheets away from Udine. Additionally, they have won just two of the last 13 matches against Udinese, their last triumph coming 11 matchdays ago.

Udinese have completed 120 successful dribbles this season – ranking them 2nd in the league – while Verona have only managed 77, meaning they are the worst side in Serie A in this regard. Festy Ebosele has amassed 24 of Udinese’s total, which also places him fourth out of every player in Europe’s top five leagues.

Joao Ferreira’s performances also deserve a mention – he has won 14 out of the last 17 tackles he has attempted, ranking him top of Serie A out of players who have attempted at least 15. Nehuen Perez’s contributions are also notable – he has made the greatest number of passes (818), successful passes (479) and tackles won (19) this campaign.

Up front we’ll be needing Isaac Success’ goals and he has a good track record against Verona. In fact, his first league goal for the club came against Sunday’s opponents, back on 27 October 2021. Lazar Samardzic was on the scoresheet for us the last time these teams met and has created the fourth most chances this current season.

There will be several players taking on their former employees in this fixture. Marco Silvestri represented Verona 111 times in Serie A and Serie B between 2018 and 2021, Marco Faroani played 16 games for Udinese between 2012 and 2017 and Jayden Braaf featured four times and scored once for us in the 2020/21 season.
