Udinese and Fiorentina will face off for the 100th time in Serie A at Bluenergy Stadium, with the record currently standing at 24 wins, 28 draws and 47 defeats for Udinese. Kosta Runjaic’s team will have to try to reverse the recent trend of the past few games against the Viola: the latest game between the two teams (in Florence last December) ended in a 5-1 win for Fiorentina, while the previous encounter at Bluenergy Stadium (in May 2025) ended in a 2-3 loss for Udinese. Their latest home win was in August 2022, a 1-0 victory. Many goals have been scored in recent years in this fixture: the average is 4.5 goals per game over the last four matches.

Udinese will be up against a team on the mend, earning 15 out of 24 total points in 2026, and that has won its two most recent games. Fiorentina, however, are also the biggest underperformers in attack of the season, with 30 goals scored from an xG of 42.4. Moise Kean will be a threat, given that he has found the back of the net for three consecutive matchdays, while Arthur Atta is Udinese’s main asset, as he is currently the third-best dribbler of the league this year, behind Kenan Yildiz and Alexis Saelemaekers.

This fixture’s former players are Nicolo Zaniolo, who made 13 appearances for Fiorentina in the second half of last season and rose through the ranks of the Fiorentina Academy, Rolando Mandragora, 74 appearances for Udinese between 2018 and 2021, and Pietro Comuzzo, who played for the Udinese Academy when he was a child. Christian Kabasele has already scored against Fiorentina, namely in the home match Udinese played against the team from Florence last year, while Kosta Runjaic is up against one of the Serie A coaches he has yet to beat (one draw and two losses against Paolo Vanoli).
