Udinese and Bologna will lock horns for the 80th time in Serie A on Monday evening. Previous meetings have been largely even, with 28 Bologna wins, 26 for Udinese and 25 draws.

It will be the second time these teams have met on a Monday; Udinese triumphed 1-0 in the only previous encounter on the first day of the week, on 5 December 2016.

It is also the seventh time this season that Kosta Runjaic's men have played on a Monday - only Hellas Verona have played more.

The most recent match-up between these two sides ended 1-1 at the Stadio Dall'Ara on the opening day of the season (18 August) and seven of the last ten matches have ended all square.

Udinese emerged as 3-0 victors the last time Bologna visited Bluenergy Stadium (30 December 2023). Indeed, the Rossoblu have recorded just one win in their last eight trips to Udine.

Udinese and Bologna have each had 15 different goalscorers in Serie A this term (the third-highest figure in the league) and have the third and fourth highest percentage of successful crosses (26% and 25% respectively).

The reverse fixture was Kosta Runjaic's Serie A debut and the last time Lautaro Giannetti scored.

Martin Payero scored in both games against Bologna last season – two of this three total Serie A strikes.

Alexis Sanchez has also scored against Bologna before, albeit 16 years ago: the match-winning goal in a 1-0 victory on 8 February 2009.

Arthur Atta is the Udinese player who attempts (4.3) and completes (2.1) the most average dribbles per match while Oumar Solet is the defender who has completed the most dribbles in Serie A since he made his debut.

If Kingsley Ehizibue features on Monday, it will be his 150th appearance in the top five European leagues and his 80th for Udinese.
