Udinese snatched a last-gasp draw against Genoa, picking up a valuable point. It was a tricky start for the hosts, with Albert Gudmundsson firing Genoa into an early lead in the 14th minute following a mix-up in the Udinese rearguard. Despite Lorenzo Lucca getting his first goal in Serie A to draw the scores level Udinese went into the half time break 2-1 down, with Gudmundsson striking again.

Udinese came out for the second 45 with strong intentions, enjoying much possession in Genoa’s half. Lucca had a good chance in the 57th minute, but the forward put his effort wide after a great pass by Walace. The visitors dropped back and held on, and despite Lazar Samardzic coming off the bench and offering inspiration it looked as if the game was petering out. However in added time a corner whipped in by the Serb was bundled into the net by Genoa keeper Alan Matturro and Udinese claimed a much-needed point. Next up is Empoli away next Friday.
