Udinese fell to a painful defeat against Inter, all the more disappointing given the Zebrette’s great performance in the first half.
Maduka Okoye especially shone, denying Hakan Calhanoglu impressively twice as well as Lautaro Martinez. Udinese were resolute defensively and found the lead before half-time, through Lazar Samardzic.
However, Inter were strong out of the blocks in the second 45, with Carlos Augusto seeing a goal ruled out for offside early on. Calhanoglu went on to convert a penalty to level the scoreline.
Udinese were hanging on towards the end, but Davide Frattesi pounced on a loose ball in the dying moments to give victory to the visitors.
