Juventus claimed all three points as they overcame an Udinese side incapable of making the most of the chances that came their way in the opening game of the 2023/24 season.
Oier Zarraga’s mistake in the second minute saw Dusan Vlahovic feed in Federico Chiesa, who finished with aplomb. The visitors nearly doubled their lead through Andrea Cambiaso but Marco Silvestri was equal to the youngster’s effort.
Juventus did extend their advantage in the 20th minute through Serbian striker Vlahovic, who tucked home a penalty. Udinese tried to fight back and Zarraga had a great chance to claw back the deficit. The game was put out of sight just before the break when Adrien Rabiot nodded in from close range.
Andrea Sottil’s men now focus on their next encounter, which sees Udinese head away to face Salernitana.
