Isaak Toure was unveiled as an Udinese player at Bluenergy Stadium on Wednesday, alongside Franco Collavino and Gokhan Inler.

The 21-year-old defender, a deadline-day loan signing from Lorient, began by discussing his route to Udine.

“I've done a lot of technical training in all the positions I've played in,” he began. My role model is Kalidou Koulibaly, who also played in Serie A. He's someone I'd like to emulate.

“I've always done lots of sports, ever since I was a child. I love basketball but I'm not so good with my hands so I chose football instead.

“I've played in both a four-man and a three-man backline before and I feel comfortable in either. I'm totally open to whatever the boss wants from me. I haven't scored many headers, though. That's something I hope to address this season to help the team.

“I used to play up front when I was young. With time I've slowly dropped further back but I do like getting forward and I've always had coaches who have given me a lot of freedom. I hope to be able to do the same here and do by bit for the team.”
