Physicality and talent form the ideal mix for the Udinese defence, with Thomas Kristensen joining the club in a permanent deal from Aarhus on a contract that runs until 30 June 2028.

The defender is an exciting prospect for the future and can already call upon a wealth of experience despite his young age. At a height of 198cm, the 21-year-old is well suited to the aerial game and man-marking.

Born in Aarhus on 17 January 2002, Kristensen went up through the youth ranks with his local side, before making his first-team debut at the age of 19 of 16 May 2021 against Nordsjaelland.

In 2021/22, he made 11 league appearances and got his first taste of the Conference League. The Dane’s first professional goal arrived in the Danish Cup while his performances earnt him his first cap at U21 level with Denmark.

2022/23 saw him become a mainstay in the team, featuring in 20 league matches and bagging one goal as Aarhus qualified for the Conference League. Kristensen also made two appearances in the Danish Cup that campaign.

Thomas has made six league appearances this calendar year along and played in two preliminary qualifiers for the Conference League.

As for international football, Kristensen has been in the fold for the last three years, playing once for the U18s, twice for the U19s, once for the U20s and four times for the U21s, which is the level that he currently competes at.

The Dane is set to wear the number 31 jersey at Udinese.

Welcome to the club, Thomas!
