Goalscorer Florian Thauvin was interviewed following Udinese’s 5-1 friendly win over Ask Klagenfurt. Here’s some of what he had to say:
“These games serve a real purpose ahead of the season. I feel great and scoring gave me a confidence boost.
“We’re doing well and working hard every day. Playing in attack and midfield is obviously different. Up front I see more of the ball closer to goal, while when playing deeper I have more space. I’m more comfortable up top but I’ll play wherever is best for the team.
“This is just the start of pre-season and we need to make the most of these games. I’m feeling really good having adapted well here. I want to give my all for the team.”
