Head coach Andrea Sottil shared his opinions on matters after his side claimed a 5-1 friendly win over Austrian side Ask Klagenfurt:
“The friendlies have been organised in such a way that the difficulty level increases over time. Today’s match was a good fitness test.
“I decided to pick one team per half. We’re still lacking something but we’re aware that this is just the start of pre-season.
“Obviously the players aren’t 100% up to speed yet. This means you’re liable to making mistakes, but I enjoyed how the lads approached the game. We scored some good goals and everyone did a good job.
“Florian Thauvin joined midway through the season from a less competitive league in Mexico, so it was always going to be hard. He’s got off to a flying start this season and he’s showing what he’s made of. I hope that he keeps this up.
“I enjoyed Oier Zarraga’s performance. He’s great at winning balls back, his energy is wonderful. THe club well to source him.”
