It may be the international break but some of Udinese’s players have been very busy. On Friday 6 September, six of our lads were in action for their countries. Here’s how they did:
Both Jaka Bijol and Sandi Lovric were starters for Slovenia in their Nations League match against Austria, which ended 1-1. Bijol played the whole 90 minutes while Lovric was taken off after an hour of play.
Jordan Zemura also played a full game for Zimbabwe, in the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations, which his country drew 0-0 against Kenya.
Three Udinese players were also involved in the qualifiers for the next U-21 European Championships. Razvan Sava kept a clean sheet for Romania against Montenegro, James Abankwah contributed to Ireland's win over Turkey, while Thomas Kristensen was unable to prevent Denmark's U-21s from losing to their Icelandic counterparts.
