Marco Silvestri was a big reason why Udinese came away from San Siro with all three points. The shot-stopper shared his thoughts in the wake of the 1-0 win:
“I’m delighted to have contributed to the team getting a victory. We were in great need of one. It’ll spur us on ahead of our coming games.
“I’d never been on the winning side at San Siro. I decided that tonight would be the night!
“We should see this win as a watershed moment, a new beginning. It’s the only way to go – we’ve got to be as ruthless, focused and determined as we were against Milan. It’s not just about away at San Siro – every game should be approached like this.
“The arrival of Gabriele Cioffi was a wake-up call. He’s brought a different approach to the table. We’re playing with more bite and the impact of the new coach has already been seen on the pitch.”
