Silvestri: "A one-sided match"

Our goalkeeper finds a point from the match against Hellas hard to accept

Marco Silvestri felt Udinese were hard done by after they had to settle for a single point from Monday's meeting with Verona.

“I can't remember being involved in many games that were so one-sided,” the 31-year-old commented after the final whistle.

“It was only in the last 15 minutes that they managed to get out of their half and offer something resembling a threat. We should have scored three or four goals.”

The keeper then commented on Verona's opening goal: “It took an incredible deflection. There was no danger in the shot and Becao wasn't at fault. He got a touch on it and the ball looped up and hit the bar before going in. We didn't let a bit of misfortune get to us, though. We started playing our game again and did really well.

“I actually think we were much better to day than we were against Sampdoria. Obviously it's better to play less well and win than draw with a performance like that. It's such as shame as it was so one-sided. Now we have to focus on Torino.”
