Veni, Vivaldo, vici. None other than Vivaldo Semedo came on in the 75th minute against Leipzig to score the winning goal as Udinese ran out 2-1 winners on Tuesday evening. The striker was in buoyant mood after the game: “I’m thrilled. I work hard every day to achieve my goals and I’ve managed to do that today.

“We work hard to get results on the pitch. It was a shame about the second goal getting ruled out. I was already celebrating! I’m pleased to be part of the coach’s plans because I’m working so hard every day. I’m just happy to be useful to the team. Scoring my first Serie A goal is one of my other targets.”
