Udinese have signed Razvan Sava, an exciting young Romanian goalkeeper.
He joins on a permanent deal from CFR Cluj and has signed a contract until 30 June 2029.
Sava is known for his physical presence, technique and reflexes and already boasts experience at the highest level.
Sava was born in Timisoara on 21 June 2002 but he moved to Italy at a very young age where he began playing for Pro Sesto.
He stood out so much that he was spotted by Juventus, who brought him into their youth ranks in 2018.
He played for the club’s U17s and trained with their Primavera team, before moving on to Pescara and Lecce.
In the summer of 2020 he moved to Torino, playing 27 games in Primavera 1 and getting plenty of experience in training with the first team.
The following year he returned to Cluj in Romania where he spent the last three seasons. Sava really made a name for himself in 2023/24, playing 40 league games, two Conference League games and three domestic cup games, proving to be one of Cluj’s standout performers.
This season he has already played four Conference League games, in the preliminary rounds, and five league games.
He won a Romanian league championship in the 2021/22 season and has also featured for the Romanian national team youth ranks, and has already been called up by the senior side.
He will wear the number 90 jersey.
