“How the game ended really hurts. The point would’ve mattered a lot but we must look forward with our heads held high and do better in our coming games.” Lazar Samardzic, who scored the goal that gave Udinese the lead in the match that Inter went on to win 2-1, gave his post-match analysis:
“We thought that we could’ve equalised right at the end. We played with the right attitude, we had a few minutes left on the clock. But that’s football for you.
“We must play like this or better against Roma. It’ll be another tough match but we always play our best against the big boys. Our aim, as always, is to get points on the board.
“I felt comfortable playing in a more advanced role. As for Sandi Lovric and Florian Thauvin, who picked up knocks in the game, every player is more important than ever. The end of the season is always a challenge. I hope that they’ll be OK.”
