Udinese claimed a point in their first away game of the season. Andrea Sottil’s team really tested Salernitana sticksman Guillermo Ochoa throughout, starting with efforts by Sand Lovric and Walace early on. The hosts also had a few chances but the sides went into the half time break goalless. It wasn’t until the 72nd minute that this game saw a goal, with Lazar Samardzic finishing off a lovely team move. The visitors’ joy was short lived, though – Boulaye Dia fired in an equaliser 15 minutes later. There were a flurry of chances in the closing stages but the game ended all-square. Udinese now turn their heads to Frosinone on Saturday 2 September.
