Kosta Runjaic spoke to the media ahead of Udinese's Sunday lunchtime kick-off against Torino, highlighting the impact of Monday's victory over Fiorentina and Friday's training session with the fans in attendance.
Here's what the boss had to say:
“Winning in Florence was a great result for us and it did us a lot of good. There's been a really good atmosphere in the camp this week.
“The open training session was planned regardless of the result but it was even better to have it after a win. There were lots of fans there making their support felt, lots of youngsters, and they were able to get close to the players. Being in touch with the fans is essential for Udinese. It was an important training session and wasn't hard to focus – quite the opposite.
“There's a real buzz in the camp but that alone is not enough. We must be compact, use the ball well, play with energy and reproduce what we work on in training on the pitch.
“Torino had a good start to the season then went through a spell when results weren't coming for them, but they can be very good in possession and play with a lot of intensity.
“We'll need to put everything into it, tap into the enthusiasm and support of our fans and try to get three points at home in our last game of the year. It would be great if we can do that and maintain our good home form.”
