Kosta Runjaic was very pleased with Udinese's performance after a goal in each half by Lorenzo Lucca and Keinan Davis secured a 2-0 win over Cagliari.
“The team played superbly today and it wasn't easy against Cagliari as they're a good side,” the coach began.
“Scoring against teams that defend so tight and compact is not easy and we managed it twice.
“We also worked really well defensively, starting with the strikers. I'm happy with the clean sheet for [Maduka] Okoye too – that's always good. We must keep this up.
“Lucca and Davis did well. They'll need a bit more time to hone their understanding but they worked well together today. They're very good on the ball and pose different threats in the box.
“We have to focus on Venezia now. It will be a tough game but we have to keep performing the way we are and then we'll see.
“I'm very pragmatic so we 're just taking each game as it comes. Things can change very quickly in football.”
