Following the 2-0 defeat to Torino on Wednesday, head coach Kosta Runjaic shared his thoughts:
“I’ve never experienced five defeats in a row before, but this is a different level, a new experience for me. These moments can lead to growth and now we have to find our way out of it. The only way is to keep moving forward.
“We created several chances but conceded soft goals, like in previous matches. Then we had a goal ruled out for offside, were a bit unlucky and gave away another. In games like this, if you don’t score, you run the risk of conceding again and losing 2-0.
“I don’t think it’s a question of motivation. When you lose five matches in a row, you can talk and analyse all you want, but it’s still five defeats with just one goal scored. Even when the chances come, we’ve lacked quality, luck and maybe also energy. I don’t see a lack of motivation, but right now people are free to interpret the situation however they like.”
