Kosta Runjaic expressed his satisfaction following Udinese's hard-fought victory against Como.
“It was a scrappy win,” he admitted after Brenner's first-half strike earned the spoils. “We had to fight really hard for it but the lads played with incredible energy and determination. We also improved in possession – that's backed up by the stats.
“The energy from the fans was a big help too, and of course them missing a penalty.
“Brenner put in a solid showing. He's improved so much and looks a completely different player to the one who started pre-season with us. He was rewarded with a goal and a great performance.
“I expect the team to keep the ball better and become even more compact as a unit but we're on the right track.
“We've played four games and from each of them we've obtained feedback and improved as a result. We still need to improve in lots of things. We let Como have too many chances today.”
