Kosta Runjaic was a happy man after Udinese produced a solid showing to overcome Atalanta 1-0.
“It was a magical afternoon,” he began. “I want to thank our players and our fans. I'm very happy and proud. That was a solid, mature performance. Now we have to continue like this.
“Every game in Serie A is a struggle. Atalanta are a strong team who hadn't lost yet. We wanted to put pressure on them with a high defensive line. We were compact and gave very little away.
“[Nicolo] Zaniolo is an important player and a special lad who works hard. He knows this is a big opportunity for him to get back to his best level.
“We have to stay focused in the present and focus on ourselves. We defended well today, with courage and better balance. It was a deserved win.
“[Arthur] Atta has huge potential and I'm curious to see how he develops. He's improving loads. He has great technique and he's strong physically. He's a player we're very happy with.”
