He ran his socks off and won so many balls back for his team. Martin Payero played a blinder for Udinese against Atalanta, and here’s his post-match reaction:
“We performed really well and we miss out on all three points by the narrowest of margins. We deserved to get a victory. Drawing hurts but we’re constantly improving. We’ll strive for a win in our next game.
“The team is full of belief thanks in part to Gabriele Cioffi. He’s really helping us with his approach, has a lot of dialogue with the players and points us in the right direction.
“We’re working really hard. I’m happy to be starting games as of late. My attacking is improving and I hope to contribute even more to the team.”
