There was an afternoon of celebration in the Curva Nord on Wednesday, where the season-ticket campaign “Proud to be Udinese” continues until 30 August. A crowd of several hundred fans gathered for Maduka Okoye and Jurgen Ekkelenkamp, who were swept up in a true wave of passion for the club.
Okoye: “It’s very nice to be here. Thank you to all the fans. We’re very happy and want to do well this year. Udinese is like a big family. We are grateful to everyone for the support. We all play together: the team and the fans. Saturday will be an important match. I thank the club for the contract renewal. I’m very happy to have extended my contract.”
Ekkelenkamp: “It’s really lovely to see all the Udinese fans here in such great numbers this afternoon. I was pleased with my debut, but especially with the point we earned.”
