Udinese are pleased to announce the signing of Basque midfielder Oier Zarraga on a four-year contract until 30 June 2027.
A versatile midfielder with exceptional technical ability, Zarraga has previously spent the entirety of his career at local club Athletic Bilbao.
Born in Getxo in the Basque Country on 4 January 1999, Oier joined the Athletic academy as a boy and worked his way up through the youth ranks.
An impressive 2019/20 campaign with the B team in Segunda Division (28 games, five goals) earned him promotion to the senior squad.
He made five Liga appearances in 2021/22 before establishing himself as a mainstay of the team the following year, racking up 37 games in all competitions with one goal.
Last season he totalled 30 appearances and scored one goal in the Copa del Rey.
Now Zarraga is set for the next stage of his career in Friuli.
