Lorenzo Lucca and Florian Thauvin spoke to the media after their goals helped Udinese overturn a 1-0 deficit against Fiorentina.
Lucca: “I'm pleased with the three points – they're crucial right now. We'll have a good Christmas but we need to think about our next game at home on Sunday.
“We were below par in the first half. After Fiorentina took the lead we had more of the ball but we were never able to really threaten. In the second half we kept things simple and stayed tight as a unit. We're delighted with the three points.
“This win is a result of the work we do during the week. We've stepped up since last year. We must keep it up because we're on the right track.”
Thauvin: “The foundations for this victory were laid with our work on the training ground. It's a big win against an excellent team on their own patch. We have to carry on like this.
“This stadium brings me luck. I've scored here before and it would be nice to score here every year.
“We didn't play well in the first half. We should have started the game better. We improved after the break but we need to play with more character and stay focused for the whole game.”
