"I felt good out there – I'm happy after a week of hard work and I played my first minutes against a strong opponent," Sandi Lovric said after the friendly win.
"I'm glad to have scored. We have to find the mechanisms of the new coach as quickly as possible but I'm happy about today's win – winning helps boost our confidence as well as the process."
"I feel good in the two-man midfield. You have to control the midfield in this position and make the right decisions. I really like the coach's idea of play - I am happy," the Slovenian added.
"It's nice to get started again with a goal. We talked about the fact that we have to shoot from outside the box. When space opens up you have to shoot. We practise after training to strike the ball from that position. I'm happy that it went in.
"You can see that there is a desire in this group to work hard and improve. We all know that we struggled last year and you can see that there is a desire to do much better this time around. I also want to bring my energy. We want to continue like this."
