Thomas Kristensen shared his post-match thoughts following his side’s 2-0 defeat to Genoa on Sunday.
“We didn’t get off to the start we were hoping for – we went down to 10 men and this changed what we’d set out to do. However, we knuckled down and stuck together. We worked well as a team, but it wasn’t enough.
“I’m happy to be back – it’s been a while since I saw action. It was hard to watch my team-mates playing and not being able to be with them, but I’m here now and happy to be back on the pitch.
“Playing in back four? I’ve worked in such a system in the past and at U21 level for my country we play like this. I like both approaches. Today we weren’t able to carry out what we had aimed to do because of the red card.
“Now we need to stick together. It’s a hard period because we haven’t won in five matches but we’ve been through similar situations before. We’ve got to keep our heads and I’m sure we’ll get through this storm soon.”
