Club captain Jesper Karlstrom sat alongside Kosta Runjaic at the post-game media conference after Udinese produced a convincing performance to beat Torino 2-1.
Karlstrom: "We only had three days after Como so we couldn't do a lot in training. We're looking for consistency and we played well today. We need to play like that all the time but it's just one game. It's a huge win for us. We want to move up the table. We needed to win today and we played well from the start but then we struggled a bit at the end. It would be nice to have a slightly easier end to the game every now and then.”
Runjaic: “I'm very happy. We were very solid from the off. We went with a different tactical formation, continuing the way we played in the second half against Como. With [Lennon] Miller and [Jesper] Karlstrom we control the centre of the park better and we have more confidence in possession. Lennon is a fantastic talent. He's only 19 but he has a mature head on his shoulders. I'm pleased with his performance. He needed time to adapt and now he's ready to play more. I don't know if we'll keep this system. We're still adjusting. I'm happy with the way we tried to play all the time against a good team that we respect, who are strong on the counter and have a lot of quality. It's a deserved win. We were in control until five minutes from the end, then we struggled a bit more, but it's part of the process. It's our first win of 2026 so I'm happy.”
