Christian Kabasele was left to rue what might have been after Udinese's 1-0 defeat at the hands of AC Milan, when the defender had what would have been a 95th-minute equaliser ruled out following a very close VAR decision.
“It's a pity because it was offside by a matter of millimetres,” the 33-year-old began. “There was a penalty on me before then too when Pavlovic slid in and caught me. It's strange that the referee didn't go over to review it on the screen.
“We need to be more determined in the area – we didn't have a lot of shots on goal. When you have a man advantage, you have to make the keeper work more, and we didn't do that. We had the right attitude though. We almost came away with a point.
“We'll speak to the coach tomorrow but I'm sure he's disappointed because not taking a point at least having been a man up is not good.
“We must make a strong start against Cagliari. In our last few games we haven't started well. We need that determination from the opening whistle. We can't drop more points like this. Starting the game strong will be our objective.”
