Kabasele: "A point is not enough"

The veteran defender reacts to the home draw with Frosinone

Despite turning in an excellent performance against Frosinone – including a superb sliding tackle to deny Walid Cheddira – Christian Kabasele was not happy with having to settle for a single point.

“This what Serie A is like,” he began.“We had chances to score and we're not happy with a point tonight. We were determined to win today after playing well on Monday and not getting the result we wanted. A point is still a point but it's not enough.”

The experienced centre-back has adapted quickly to life in Italy – and is already speaking the language after just a few months – but he admits there is plenty of work still to do.

“There are several things we need to work on. We have two weeks to do it and then we need to win at Cagliari.

“I want to improve all areas of my game. I'm 32 but I have to work hard because Serie A is more tactical than the Premier League. I think I'll make progress over the coming days working with the coach. I haven't come here for an easy life.”
