
11 Udinese players will be busy next month playing for their respective national teams.
Three of them could feature in the U21 European tournament, which will be held in Slovakia from 11 to 28 June: Thomas Kristensen will be with Denmark – in the group stage he and his team will playing against Ukraine (12 June), the Netherlands (15 June) and Finland (18 June) – while Simone Pafundi and Razvan Sava have been shortlisted by Italy and Romania and will have to wait until 4 June to know whether they will be among the 23 players selected.
Sandi Lovric and Jaka Bijol will be with Slovenia for two friendly matches, on 6 June against Luxembourg and 10 June against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the same dates Jesper Karlstrom‘s Sweden will be playing two friendly matches, against Hungary and Algeria.
Italy’s two matches, on the other hand, are World Cup qualifiers – on 6 June against Norway and 9 June against Moldova – with Lorenzo Lucca being selected.
Iker Bravo and Damian Pizarro have been selected by the coaches of the Spain and Chile U20 teams to take part in training camps ahead of the U20 World Cup in October. The Chileans, who will be hosting the tournament, will also be playing against New Zealand in two friendly matches (on 4 and 7 June).
Maduka Okoye has been called up by the Nigerian national team for the Unity Cup – a friendly tournament that also includes Ghana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago – from 27 to 31 May. Nigeria also have a friendly match against Russia on 1 June.
Finally, Alexis Sanchez has been selected for the World Cup qualifiers that Chile will be playing against Argentina (6 June) and Bolivia (10 June).
