Kingsley Ehizibue was interviewed by TV 12 at the end of the friendly match against NK Opatija. Here is what he had to say:
“Of course we were tired, as we have been through two weeks of intense training. Today we have played our first match. Unfortunately it ended in a draw, but it was not a bad performance, considering it is the start of the season.”
“We have time to show what we want to do this season on the pitch. We have a good team. We still have to improve and the training camp is a good opportunity to do so.”
“I like this new formation; we have time to internalise it. We want to be a physical team, with a good structure. We want to play well and perform well this season.”
“We are happy for [Lorenzo] Lucca: he had a good season; he is a great player and we will miss him greatly. We must remain united and not be influenced by the fact he is leaving.”
“Today many players were missing, but we still had a good team. We must play well irrespective of what players are missing.”
