Norway international Egil Selvik completes the club’s goalkeeping department. Selvik is now an Udinese player, arriving in Friuli after playing in his homeland last season for Haugesund.
Born in 1997 and standing 191cm tall, Selvik began his football journey with his hometown team, Sandnes, where he played until 2018. He then moved to Nest-Sotra in Norway’s second tier, featuring in 32 matches in just one season.
The following year, he joined Odd, where he played 20 matches for the reserves and made his first-team debut in the Norwegian Cup. In 2020, he played in his first top-flight match in Norway.
In 2021, Selvik made the move to Haugesund, where he truly came into his own, featuring in 120 matches across league and national cups over four years. His strong performances earned him a spot in Norway’s senior national team, where he remains an active member.
Selvik has made four appearances for the national side led by Erling Haaland, making his debut in September 2023 in a friendly against Jordan. In the November international window, he secured a starting berth thanks to his outstanding performances.
Selvik is set to wear the number 1 jersey for Udinese.
Welcome, Egil!
