Enzo Ebosse is finally back on the pitch. Having spent the best part of 18 months on the sidelines after picking up a cruciate ligament injury in February 2023, the Cameroonian defender played the first hour of Udinese's friendly match against Koper, which finished 1-1.
“I'm very happy,” Enzo admitted after the game. “Having been out of action for so long, I need to get minutes my legs so that I can come back strong in Serie A. This match was a a good opportunity for me and for those who didn't play much in our first three league games. It was a good workout to help us get us ready to face Parma after the international break.
“I enjoyed playing at in the centre of defence. It's a different position and means I have to stay focused all the time because I have to cover both sides, pick the right time to play passes and get all the duels right. It's good for me to play different positions and it gives the coach more options.
“We're pleased with seven points from our first three matches. The coach has a great playing philosophy. We have to keep playing like this, keep attacking the big teams and push on from here.”
