The coach previews our final game of the season

Your last game is against a Salernitana battling to beat the drop. Will the fiery atmosphere help get the adrenaline going?

“Sport in general is adrenaline but, yes, it's going to be a real cauldron tomorrow and it will certainly get the adrenaline pumping.

What sort of performance are you hoping to see from the team?

“It's been a good week. The lads haven't switched off. Despite losing at home to Spezia, which was very disappointing, but we've stuck by what we said to ourselves, which is to start our holiday on 23 May. Our goal is to produce a solid display and try to win.”

You lost to a last-minute goal when you played Salernitana a few weeks ago. Do you expect them to sit back again as they did then or adopt a more attack-minded approach in front of their fans?

"The reverse fixture is in the past now and we actively sought to learn from it. Tomorrow there will be lots of matches within the match. We expect Salernitana to come straight at us. They'll try to push us back and get an early goal, playing a physical game. We'll give as good as we get.

Ignacio Pussetto and Pablo Mari have been missing from training. How are they doing?

“They came out of our last game a little worse for wear and have missed several training sessions. They'll certainly be in the matchday squad but we still need to assess whether they can start or not.”

Will you use tomorrow's match to give game time to players who haven't played so much?

“Tomorrow we'll put out the best team possible to try and achieve our goal of coming away from Salerno with as many points as possible. We're playing a team scrapping for their lives but we're going there to make a real match of it.”
