Arthur Atta was one of the four new signings unveiled to the press at Bluenergy Stadium on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old French midfielder, who joined from Metz, was introduced by Udinese managing director Franco Collavino and technical director Gokhan Inler.

Collavino: “Arthur was one of our 'last-second' summer signings. He's very young but has already played several games in Ligue 1. He's a modern, versatile midfielder with great ability. He'll add dynamism to ur midfield. He has huge potential and we've already discussed his future. He's joined on an initial loan with an option to buy but we've structured his contract in a way so that we can plan for the future.”

Inler: “I'm really happy to have a talented player who's come to Udinese to build himself a great career. I'm here to help him and Serie A is a great opportunity for him to show his quality. I'm proud to have him here with us.”

Atta: “I'm a versatile midfielder who likes getting involved in the thick of the action. I like exchanging passes in close quarters and getting forward too. I've got several goals and assists. I'm an attacking player but I can operate in a box-to-box role too. [Toni] Kroos is a player a look up to.

“Udinese have lots of great midfielders but I'm not worried. I'm here to earn my spot and show what I can do when the boss gives me the nod. I'm focused on how I train.

“I can play anywhere in midfield, whether it's a two or a three. Let's say I'm more similar to [Sandi] Lovric or [Martin] Payero but if the coach needs me I can do [Jesper] Karlstrom's job too.

“Our captain is French so it's been easy to communicate. There are other French speakers here who have helped me feel at home and that's given me confidence from the start. I feel very comfortable in this group of players.”
