1990s and 2000s Udinese legend Roberto Nestor Sensini turned 60 on Monday. Born on 12 October 1966, Sensini joined Udinese in the summer of 1989, becoming a pillar of the team and leading Udinese back to Serie A in 1992. After two successful spells at Parma and Lazio, he returned to Udine in 2002, where he played four more brilliant seasons with the Friulian team, during which Udinese secured qualification for the UEFA Cup and the Champions League.
Sensini made a total of 265 appearances for Udinese – making him the second foreign player for overall appearances behind only Danilo – and scored 16 goals.
He now lives in Argentina, but Friuli is like a second home to him and returns frequently to visit Udine.
