BLUENERGY STADIUM UDINESE AND BLUENERGY, TOGETHER INTO THE FUTURE

Initiatives aimed at benefitting the environment, people and the local economy part of stadium rebranding project

Udinese Calcio and Bluenergy Group are proud to announce that the new commercial name for the club's stadium will be Bluenergy Stadium for the next five years. The Udine-based facility, the second club-owned stadium built in Italy after Juventus’ home ground, has become a benchmark among European stadiums while pursuing the revolutionary concept of a football stadium that is operational seven days a week.

As their partnership grows increasingly close, Bluenergy, the multi-utility company based in Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Udinese are also announcing the development of collaborative initiatives dedicated to the local region’s environment, people and the economy. Udinese Calcio, who have flown the flag for Friuli worldwide over the course of many years, see their consciousness and values reflected in those of Bluenergy’s ownership and management. The choice of Bluenergy's shareholders to establish the group's headquarters in Friuli means that there are greater resources available to local institutions. This comes in the form of 15% of the group’s profits being reinvested in Friuli Venezia Giulia to support the local economy.
 
The collaboration between the club and the multi-utility company, which dates back to 2018, has already produced fantastic results in the fight against climate change. In fact, Udinese have been ranked as Serie A’s most sustainable club by the Brand Finance Football Sustainability Index 2023, a classification based on ESG parameters which has also placed the club in fourth place worldwide. This has been made possible thanks to the energy efficiency improvements and green power provided by Bluenergy, which have allowed for a saving of 4,850.64 tonnes of CO2. Bluenergy have been engaging in sustainable measures for several years and this has seen the company receive prestigious awards such as Sustainability Leader 2023. This accolade was given following the results of independent analysis by Statista - Il Sole24ore, through which companies were compared on the basis of their ESG performance

The design of the Bluenergy Stadium logo is a collaborative effort between BluenergyGroup and Udinese Calcio. The font is consistent with Bluenergy’s standard typeface while the design is a nod to the stadium’s diamond shape. The result is a new, pronounced and distinctive identity.
