Udinese will face Cagliari on Saturday for the 60th time in Serie A, having won half of previous encounters (29), drawn 18 and lost 12.

The reverse fixture in Udine ended 1-1 while last season's meeting in Sardinia – where Udinese haven't lost since April 2018 – saw Kosta Runjaic's side emerge as 2-1 victors.

In the last eight match-ups between these two teams, Udinese have only lost once and Cagliari have never scored more than one goal per game.

Udinese have not lost away from home since 23 February (1-0 to Bologna), drawing two and winning two since then, while average 2.5 goals per match. Should they return from Sardinia with at least a point, it would be the team's first five-match unbeaten run on the road since autumn 2022.

With 47 points in the standings and three games still to play, Runjaic's men have already equalled the club's best points tally in the last 13 years.

Cagliari are in decent form themselves, having taken seven points from their last four outings, and are just one point away from securing their top-flight status for another year.

This season Udinese have won more duels on the turf in their own half (62.6%) than any other Serie A side and have scored the third-most corners (7), after Inter and Sassuolo.

In their last ten matches, Runjaic's team have never obtained the same result in consecutive games. A win on Saturday afternoon would end that run and make it back-to-back victories for the first time since January-February this year.

Unipol Domus will witness two of Serie A's finest dribblers in action: Arthur Atta has completed 58 dribbles this season while Marco Palestra is on 67.

Nicolo Zaniolo and Sebastiano Esposito meanwhile are two of the three Italians to have recorded at least five goals and five assists in the current campaign.
