Tomorrow evening will see Udinese face Genoa for the 62nd time. Their record against the Rossoblu is very even - it stands at 20 wins, 20 draws and 21 defeats.

Udinese lost the last time they faced Genoa - a 2-1 home defeat in December - and the last time the teams met at the Stadio Ferraris, when Genoa triumphed 1-0. In recent years, the Rossoblu have become a bit of a bogey team for the Zebrette - they haven't beaten them since November 2020 and haven't even scored in Genoa since March 2021, when the encounter between the two sides finished 1-1.

Udinese will be up against an in-form opponent who are seventh in the Serie A league table based on the second half of the season. Their good work primarily comes on home soil – the team have four wins and one defeat (against Napoli) in their last five matches in Genoa. Udinese will need to be especially mindful of set pieces, as Genoa are second only to Inter for goals scored from dead ball situations (14). However, the Rossoblu are also second in Serie A for points dropped from leading positions (20), after Fiorentina. They are also the team with the worst 50/50 record in Serie A this season (46.18%) - Udinese are among the best teams for this statistic.

The spotlight will be on Keinan Davis, who has been involved in 12 goals this season, fewer only than Federico Dimarco, Lautaro Martinez, Kenan Yildiz and Nico Paz. The English striker has scored or assisted in each of his last three away matches and would reach double figures if he were to find the net on Friday. Davis sits fourth in the scoring charts behind only Lautaro Martinez, Rasmus Hojlund and Anastasios Douvikas. Alessandro Zanoli, who played for Genoa last season, will be absent due to injury, while the only player to have already scored against the Ligurians while playing for Udinese is Jakub Piotrowski, who netted in the first meeting this season.
