Udinese have played 80 Serie A matches against Torino, with a record of 26 wins, 24 draws and 30 defeats. This includes a 2-0 loss back in April 2025, the last time the Zebrette faced off with the Granata at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. They haven't won against Torino since a 2-0 triumph in February 2022 and haven’t registered an away victory since beating them 3-2 on their own turf in December 2020. On the other hand, Kosta Runjaic is unbeaten against Marco Baroni, with one win and one draw last season back when Baroni was in charge of Lazio.

If Udinese were to win they would finish the first half of the season on 25 points, the same record as last season. In the previous six seasons they had only once achieved at least that amount, racking up 28 points at the halfway stage in the 2022/23 campaign. If Nicolo Zaniolo were to find the net he would reach five goals in a season for the second time in his career in one of Europe's top five leagues, having done so already in 2019/20 with Roma. The Zebrette forward is one goal away from breaking his 20-goal threshold in Serie A, while Keinan Davis and Sandi Lovric could both score their 10th goals for Udinese.

There will be potentially two players facing their former clubs on Tuesday. Daniele Padelli made 116 appearances for Torino between 2013 and 2017, while Duvan Zapata featured 65 times and scored 19 goals for Udinese between 2015 and 2017. Adam Masina also used to play for Udinese, but he will be absent as he is away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations. Meanwhile, Torino coach Marco Baroni played for Udinese way back in the 1985/86 season.
