Here’s what first-team coach Kosta Runjaic had to say after Udinese fell to a 2-1 loss at the hands of Roma at Bluenergy Stadium:
“In general we were more aggressive in the first half. We got the goal but we then made too many mistakes in the second half, giving away two penalties that cost us the game. Now we need to remain calm, knowing how quickly the league table can change in Serie A.
“We lost today and at Como. It was a big opportunity for us today as they didn’t start their best players.
“Now we need to work hard ahead of Venezia, communicate well and pull together to be focused on a key game.
“In terms of targets, the league is what it is. We don’t need any interpretations of it or to look too far ahead. We’ve lost back-to-back games and conceded six goals in two games. There’s no need to talk about theoretical things as we just need to raise our level.”
