Saturday's meeting at Bluenergy Stadium will be the 85th Serie A match between Udinese and Napoli. So far there have been 17 Udinese wins, 31 draws and 36 Napoli victories.

The Zebrette haven't beaten Napoli since 3 April 2016 (3-1 in Udine) and have drawn two of the last three encounters – both at Bluenergy Stadium and both 1-1, on 4 May 2023 and 6 May 2024.

It also finished 1-1 the last time these two teams faced off at 18:00 on a Saturday, on 7 December 2019 in Udine.

Neither side has conceded any headed goals this season and they have scored the joint third-most goals from corners (four apiece).

Udinese (third) and Napoli (second) are among the top teams for converting clear goal-scoring opportunities: 50% and 54%, respectively.

Kosta Runjaic's side also have one of the best expected goals ratios in Serie A, scoring 4.2 goals more than their xG.

Udinese have scored the second-most headed goals (behind Atalanta), with Lorenzo Lucca's effort against Monza the team's seventh of the term.

The frontman has already notched five this season (the same number as Romelu Lukaku and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who won't be involved on Saturday), with four of them headers – a league high, level with Mateo Retegui.

Against Napoli Lucca will likely go up against Amir Rrahmani, who has won the second-most aerial duels (54) in Serie A in 2024/25.

There will be an interesting battle between Kingsley Ehizibue and Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who are both are among the top four defenders for tackles won: 20 and 23, respectively.

Another Udinese wing-back, Jordan Zemura, is the defender with the second-most completed dribbles (19), after Dodo.

Sandi Lovric's only home goal in Serie A to date was against Napoli, at Bluenergy Stadium, in the 1-1 draw of 4 May 2023.

Alex Meret will be the only player facing his former club: the Napoli goalkeeper was born in Udine and came through the Udinese youth ranks between 2012 and 2015. He made two appearances for Udinese, both in the Coppa Italia, in the 2015/16 season.
